SCC week 4

I can't believe this is the last week of this class. It was so much fun learning new techniques and being in the company of so many talented ladies. Surely I will miss it.
I'm still very busy with setting up my son's apartment and now remodeling my craft room.
Not much crafts are being made these days.
I managed to make a quick card for this week color challenge at Summer Card Camp. It reminds me of ocean.

My card was made with Tim Holtz folder, Prima flowers and Spellbinder Nestabilites.

Stamp: SU Great Friend
Cardstock: White and blue CS,  Club Scrap green CS,
Ink: Black Memento, Peeled Paint - Distress Ink
Accessories: SU white ribbon, Prima E. flowers and pearls, Tim Holtz embossing folder, Spellbinders Nestabilities - Labels 1, dimensionals

Summer Card Camp week 3

Where did this week go? I can't believe I made the first and only card for this week's challenge only this afternoon. True, I was busy with all the things moms do, but also Antonio and I went to the City a few times. We went to The Ink Pad yesterday, and bought a few new toys for me.

Here is my card for this week. I made a flower from (my new) Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals die, stamped top layer with (my new) BG stamp, and made a scalloped edge by punching out the design on both sides of the paper strip. Very basic and simple card.

Stamps: Enjoy the Journey (CTMH), Cover-a-Card Scratches (IO)
Cardstock: SU, CTMH
Ink: Black Memento, Close to Cocoa (SU), Vintage Photo & Aged Mahogany (Ranger),
Accessories: Tattered Florals die (TH), dimensionals, Fiskars punch, Prima ribbon,  pearl brad,

Scrapbook page

I can't remember when I made the last complete scrapbook page. Gotta be over a year.
A few days ago I was browsing my favorite blogs, and by accident discovered a very cool site with sketches called Sketchabilities. The ladies over there are doing a great job.

This week's sketch is something I just had to try. It didn't go as smoothly as I thought it would go, but all in all, I'm happy with the page.

I used papers from CTMH collection and scraps from my stash.  Can't wait to see the next sketch.

Summer Card Camp - week 2

Here is my card for the second week of the Summer Card Camp. I love the color combo, it is great for birthday or floral cards.

I think I'll make more than one card this week. Didn't even check Mojo Monday's challenge. Luckily kids are all busy so I will have more time to make cards.
The yellow background was made with a watercolor pencil and painted over with wet brush. It's much easier than coloring with Copics.

Stamp: Hero Arts - Thank You
Markers: Copic
Cardstock:White CS, Club Scrap green CS,
Ink: Black Memento, Peeled Paint - Distress Ink
Accessories: yellow ribbon, Prima pearls, Cuttlebug embossing folder - Victoria, dimensionals

Summer Card Camp 2011

I signed up for the Summer Card Camp, and after the first week I have to say, it is money spent well. Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner did a great job providing us with new techniques, videos and challenges.
Every day there is something new.

This week's color combination is a bright and fresh.

And here is my entry.
I used an old Mojo Monday sketch, because I didn't really have time to work more than an hour on the card.
In my stash I found some My Mind's Eye papers which were just the right colors.

Stamp: SU Sincere Salutations
Cardstock:Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, My Mind's Eye - Dreamy 2 collection
Ink: Black Memento
Tools: Martha Steward punch
Accessories: Prima flowers, dimensionals

I can't believe that my entry has a number 716!!

Mojo Monday

Here is a card I made for this week's Mojo Monday Challenge. I like this sketch very much as I often make cards that look like it.

Except the sentiment, there was no stamping involved in this card. The ornament in the circle is from some CM photo mat paper, the rest are from Magic Moments paper pack (by CTMH).
I also hand made the flowers. Gems are from Jollie.

Stamps: SU Fun and Fast Notes
Cardstock: CTMH Magic Moments, CM
Ink: Black StazOn
Accessories: dimensionals, Fiskars and Marwy Uchida punches

You make me happy

Today's card was made for Color Throwdown #142 . This is my first time participating in this challenge.  The color combo was quite refreshing and I knew right away what papers I was going to use. I still have some of the scraps from the long time retired paper pack, enough for a few cards.
For the center I used a chipboard flower from some Halloween pack as this was the "limest" green that I had in my stash.
I also used Fiskars punch for the border on the bottom of the card.

Hello there

This card was made for this week's Mojo Monday Challenge. I used some of the CTMH papers and PTI stamps.

Cardstock: CTMH - Wings
Ink: Tim Holtz - Aged mahogany, black StazOn
Stamps: PTI Tag-Its #1
Accessories: Jolee's jewles, SU ribbon, Tim Holtz Clear Rock Candy distress stickles

Make It Monday #12: Line Frame 101

Today I made a card for Make it Monday #12 challenge.

This challenge was to create a card using a hand drawn frame, technique shown in Nichole's video.
Again, all supplies are from PTI except the inks, which are from SU.

Cardstock: White cardstock from PTI
Ink: Barely Banana, Real Red, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Black Staz-On
Stamps: Flower Fusion #3
Accessories: dimensionals, black marker, silver Pearl Pen

Dude, you rock!

This month I bought some stamps from Papertrey Ink. I always admired their product line. Now I have an ample pile, so all I need are some challenges for me to start using the products.

Today I made a card for this month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop, where we were to make a masculine card.

Cardstock: all PTI
Stamps: Grunge me, Chevron stripes, Alpha-blocks, Bitty Background Blocks
Ink: Black StazOn, PTI Ripe Avocado, Ocean Tides, SU Barely Banana and So Saffron.
Accessories: buttons, twine, dimensionals, corner rounder, black marker

This is a simple and fast card for a very special Dude in my family.

Another challenge I incorporated in this card is for April Sketch at SFYTT (Sketch for you to try).
It really goes well with the masculine theme with the clean lines.
This is my first time to participate in this challenge. I found the site this morning and I still have lots to see and learn from very talented Jen Del Muro.

A new beginning?

After I resigned as a Stampin Up demo, I lost all of my creativity mojo.
For more than a year I didn't do any crafts. Slowly I started again. Now I have some projects and layouts I want to share with my friends.
Maybe do a challenge every now and then...
