AHSC #109

Hello! Here we go with the new Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Lots of layers on this one.
I hope you will join us. On the main page you can see what did the rest of the design team created.
And of course, don't miss the AHSC Pinterest page for more inspiration.

For this card I used papers from Teresa Collins Stationary Noted paper pack. Unfortunately I couldn't find a light enough paper for the background. So I decided to use a script stamp that I stamped with the Antique Linen Distress Ink. Sentiment is just a tag from the paper pack that I cut to look like a border. The flower stamp is from the Technique Tuesday called Budding Poppies, which I colored with Copic markers.

Holly Jolly #48

Hello and happy Tuesday everybody. Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge has a new challenge. This time we have to use kraft.

Our sponsors are Eureka Stamps, The Stamping Boutique, Di's Digis and Melonheadz.
Hop to the main page to see what the prizes are for this challenge.

I used Eureka Stamps image called Wreath with Bird, which I printed on kraft paper. I also printed a bird and a bow three more times. Coloring on kraft paper was quite different from the regular one, and I had great time figuring out the Copic color combos.
The wreath was colored with green, blue and brown markers and the little ornaments are made with red Stickless. The bird and the bow I colored multiple times and fussy cut them, to create layers.

In the close-up you can see how I layered the bow and the bird.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Wednesday Everybody!
We have another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for you.

I made this card with an adorable stamp from Mama Elephant called Photo Bomb. The stamp set is full of selfie images and sentiments. Great for a kids birthday. Not that they need more encouragement with taking selfies.
There is also an accompanied die cut set with the polaroid and speech bubble dies.
As usual I colored the image with Copic markers.
Papers are from My Mind's Eye called Quilting Bee.

Thanks for stopping by.

AHSC #107

Hello Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge fans. We are back with another fantastic sketch created by Michelle. It's a simple sketch with a lot of possibilities. Hope you will join us.

When I saw this sketch I knew I'll use the Hopscotch paper pack. After assembling the background pieces I stamped flowers from the Flowers for Mom stamp set and colored them with color pencils and cut with the tag shape die.
Sentiment is from the stamp set called Variety of Thanks.
Quite some time ago I colored pieces of hemp with re-inkers in colors that I use frequently, so I had some coral colored on hands.

Thanks for stopping by.

Holly Jolly #47

There is a new challenge up at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge.  This time we are all about Clean and Simple.

Of course, I must mention our great sponsors this week, which are Bugaboo, Dr. Digi, Stamp & Create and Limited Run Stamps.

Don't miss what the rest of the team have created for this week's challenge. I hope you will join us.

For this card I used the adorable Little Tree digi stamp. I colored it with Copic markers, masked it and for the background I used an airbrush system.
For the sentiment I used on of the PTi stamps. Unfortunately I don't remember the name.

Interesting, even though this card is very simple, amount of mess I had on my crafting table was the same as I would tackle some serious scrapbooking. I had a few ideas how to make this card, but decided that I don't want to take away from the image.

Thank you very much for stopping by.

From the Heart #108

Hello everyone and Happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there.
I have a nice and quiet day ahead, so some gardening and crafting are definitely in the plan.

Once again I'm entering my card on the last day of this week's sketch challenge at From the Heart Stamps. I used both the sketch and the twist (many layers).

For this card I used an adorable FTHS digi-stamp called Apple Blossom Bird, which I colored with Copic markers.
Papers are from the Maja Design Vintage Summer Basic paper pack.

For the background I masked the image, airbrushed with Copic markers and then fine sprayed some Colorless Blender on the image.

Thanks for stopping by.

AHSC #106

Hello, here we are halfway through this week and of course it's time for this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

I decided to make a Mother's Day card. I liked the colors in this Authentique - Flourish paper pack especially the pinks. They range from very subtle to quite bold.
Stamp is from CTMH called Flowers for Mom Holiday.
I had quit an ordeal with the Cricut. I used the Artfully Sent CTMH cartridge, just as it says on the stamp set. I set it on 2" and it cut out the tiny little 1.75' long tag. I had to laugh!
Because my Cricut is ancient and I don't use it for anything else but CTMH cartridges, I don't even know if it has a setting to cut the height instead of width. So I cut out a series of different sizes and decided that 3.75" and 4.50" would be a good ones to use on the card.
I inked the edges and colored the flowers on the tag and tied some hemp around the card. I also added some dimensional adhesive to the back of the tag to raise it a bit.
I usually make my cards bulky, but this one is going in the mail, so I made it more flat.
I'll definitely be using this stamp set again, because it has a nice set of flowers.

Thanks for stopping by.
