AHSC #114

Hello everyone. There is a new challenge at Atlantic Hearts.  This week we are at the number 114. As always, Michelle provided us with a great sketch.

When I looked for a stamp to use with the oval die, I found this stamp set form Art Impressions called Gazebo. Since it's meant to be colored with watercolors I pulled out mine and colored the image and the sentiment.
I couldn't find papers that would match the colors from the main image, so I decided to watercolor that too. But first I stamped and heat embossed a script stamp.

I also used some silver colors too, but the photo doesn't show the shimmer.

Hello Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge fans. We are back with another fantastic sketch created by Michelle Stewart. I hope you will join us.

At first I didn't really know what to do with this sketch. It's quite unusual.
After checking out my box of stamps I decided to use the new stamp set i got from Wplus9 called Doodle Buds.
Flowers were colored with color pencils and adhered with dimensional adhesive to create some depth.
For the sentiment I used Stampin Up punch. Background paper is from My Minds Eye - Moments paper pad. I also used a scalloped square die from Winnie and Walter.

Thanks for stopping by.

Holly Jolly #50

There is a new challenge up at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge and it is called Tag it.

Of course, I must mention our great sponsors this week, which are Stitchy Bear Stamps, QKR Stampede and Crafty Sentiments Designs.

For my tag I used a digi stamp from Stitchy Bear Stamps called Candy Cane.
The image is colored with Copic markers. For the background I first airbrushed with Copics and then used a stencil and molding paste to create snow fall. Instead of stamped sentiment I wrote on the side of the tag. After all was done I decided to use some Glossy Accents on top of the candy cane and peppermint candy.
Flowers are from Magnolia.

Hello everybody. Atlantic Hearts has a new sketch challenge for you.
I hope you will join us. On the main page you can see what did the rest of the design team created.
And of course, don't miss the AHSC Pinterest page for more inspiration.

For this card I used a papers for the 7 Dots Studio. Papers have a bit of the shabby chic and vintage flair, which played nicely with the stamp and dies from Heartfelt Creations. For the sentiment I used a stamp from Wplus9 called Strictly Sentiments. I inked the edges with Distress Inks.

The colors in real life are somewhat softer, but even though I photographed it two times, I couldn't get it quite right.

Thanks for stopping by.

AHSC #111

Welcome back to another fun week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! The sketch is up and ready. A simple sketch with lots of possibilities.

I hope you will join us.

For this card I used a stamp set from Altenew called Magnolias for Her. I have had it for quite some time, but was never in the mood to color it with Copics. Last week I got Zig Kuretake Gansai watercolors, and after playing with them, decided to color these images. First I heat embossed the images with white embossing powder to prevent colors from spreading around too much.
I have to say, coloring was a blast. Watercolors are pigmented, they flow and blend nicely so I really enjoyed the coloring.
For the background I used a stencil and Spun Sugar Distress ink.

Holly Jolly #49

Hello, we have a new challenge at Holly Jolly. The theme this time is "Frame It".

We have great sponsors this week, which are A Day for Daisies and Lacy Sunshine.

Don't miss what the rest of the team have created for this week's challenge. I hope you will join us.

For this card I used another adorable image from Lacy Sunshine called Coco's Holiday Ornament.
I colored it with Copic markers. The frame was created with oval Spellbinder dies.  For embellishments I used some Magnolia Doohickey dies and some Kort and Godt flowers.

AHSC #110

Hello. It's Wednesday, which means that here is a new Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I can't believe we are already at 110th. As always Michelle did a great job.

For this card I used papers from Authentique - Classic Beauty paper bundle. I like the black, gray and yellow color combo. Stamp and the die are from Verve.
I distressed the edges of the papers with white acrylic paint, adhered them to the background paper and then also tapped the brush to get some splatters all over the paper.
To complete the card I added some yellow twine to the die-cut and some yellowish paper flowers. In the center and on the bottom I added some black rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by.
