Holly Jolly - Merry Christmas

Hello, my crafty friends. I'm back for the second part of our month long celebration at Holly Jolly Christmas challenge.

This cute image that I used for this card is Whiskers in my Stockings from Sami Stamps.

First I masked the image and airbrushed the background in soft blues and purples. After that, I colored it with Copic markers and color pencils.

To keep the card flat for easier shipping I only added some snowflake die cut border and a small tag with a sentiment.

For decorations, I used some snowflake die cuts and lace.

We have a lot of sponsors, so there will be a lot of chances to win prizes. Don't forget to check what the rest of our design team created.

In this first part of the celebration, I'm sharing with you a gift card I made. The image is Christmas Star from All Dressed Up.
I colored it with Copic markers. For the background, I used the airbrush system after I masked the fairy and the star.

The rest of the bag was made from some older Maja Designs papers. I cut them out with dies and punches. To make it a bit more feminine, I used some lace and ribbons.

Snowflake dies are from Pretty Pint Posh, and the oval frame die is from My Favorite Things.

First I colored the image with Copic markers. Then I adhered the clear acetate on the window die-cut, just like for a shaker card, and added some foam adhesive around the frame. Then I adhered the image on the back.

To create the brick wall, I took some light gray cardstock and made a brick pattern with the chisel side of the Copic marker. I used a few different colors, so the wall looks more realistic.

Our sponsor this week is Eureka Stamps.

For my card, I used a digi called Lady Throwing Leaves. I colored it with Copic markers and some color pencils. Coloring all the leaves took quite some time, but it was fun.

World Card Making Day

Hello, my crafty friends. This afternoon I was watching Sandy Allnock's Periscope and realized that today is World Card Making Day.
I had no plans for crafting today, but after dinner, I sat down and started making the card. The image and the tag die are from CC Designs and papers are from CTMH. The spider web die is from La-La Land Crafts.

I colored the Little Witch Lucy with Copic markers and Prismacolor color pencils. I can't figure out how to blend purples and violets with Copics, so I use color pencils to smooth the colors.

Hope you had time to create something today. Thanks for stopping by.

I made cut outs with x-acto knife.

The sentiment is a die cut, that I cut out from the red cardstock, painted with glitter pen and then covered with Liquid Glass so it looks glossy.

Camp Create 3 - Shadow Stamping

On the last day of the Camp Create 3 the theme was Stunning Shadow Stamping.

To be honest, I had some issues with this card, and what you see here was my 4th attempt.
First I misaligned the stamps, then I messed up the paper because my white ink pad fell on it and the third one just didn't look right.
So, here is the final product.
I love shadow stamping when I want to add color to the craft paper. I use it a lot when making gift tags.

As I said at the beginning of Camp Create 3, I had great time making this cards. I tried to use only MFT stamps and dies and I did it.

Camp Create 3 - Dry Embossing

On the fourth day in the Camp Create 3, the theme was Divine Dry Embossing.

This one is a bit tricky to explain, so if you're not a part of the MFT Camp Create, the best thing is to see the video explaining this technique. I did a lot of masking on this one.

All products on this card are from My Favorite Things, except for the Distress Inks.

Camp Create 3 - Resist

On the third day in the Camp Create 3, the theme was Remarkable Resist.

This is my favorite card that I made "at the Camp". I love the yellow-green-blue color combo. It is so fresh and cheerful.

First I heat embossed the background with the white embossing powder and then applied the Distress Inks on it. On the vellum panel in the middle, I stamped lines with white ink.
The image was colored with color pencils. I added some white dots to the cake, and covered the icing with a glitter pen, just to have it sparkle a bit.

For inspiration I used the Sketch 293, but I was too late to enter it. Ah well, I have to read the rules better, lol.

Camp Create 3 - Awesome Ombre

The second technique in the Camp Create 3 is Awesome Ombre.

I made the background by heat embossing the Scattered Surface background stamp and then created an ombre effect with blue Distress Inks.
The little bear was colored with color pencils. The sentiment was heat embossed with black embossing powder.

Camp Create 3 - Monochromatic Magic

The last Camp Create of the summer is full of cool techniques. I had a blast making cards.
The first one is Monochromatic Magic.

For this card, I used an image from the new stamp set called Monster Love.  I stamped the little monster and die cut the image.
For the background panel, I die cut the Striped Sentiment and heat embossed the sentiment in white.
At the end, I raised the image from the background with foam squares.

We have some great sponsors this time: Bugaboo, Dr.Digi and Crafty Sentiments Designs.

For my project I used a digi called Ava and Deakon Merry Christmas Sign from Bugaboo.

I printed out the image in a size 5x6 and colored it with Copic markers.
The candy cane, and the ornaments on the tree are covered with Glossy Accents, to add shine. I inked edges of the image with Broken China distress ink and adhered it on the white cardstock, which I first glued on a chipboard.
The frame was cut out from a white cardstock. I stamped it with snowflakes and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I covered it with Barn Door Distress ink. To add some more sparkle I covered the centers of the snowflakes with clear Rock Candy Distress glitter.
To finish the frame, I put some dimensional tape around it, inked the inside edges, and adhered it on the image panel. At the back I added some white string, so it can be hanged.

For my card I used an image called Gifts For You, which I colored with Copic markers. After I cut it out I put fun foam on the back to raise the image from the background.
Background paper is from Maja Designs.
The sentiment is created by gluing together 3 die cuts, to add some dimension. Then I covered it with liquid glue and sprinkled some Rock Candy Distress glitter on it. To make the card even more sparkling I brushed Wink of Stella to girl's scarf and pompoms.
